Where exactly is Piccadilly Backpackers Accommodation?
We are in the heart of Piccadilly and Soho. Piccadilly Circus is on our left and Soho is on our right. A 30 second walk will take you to Piccadilly Circus underground station (and also many other great clubs, bars, shops, sights, events...).

Can you provide us with transport to the hostel?
We currently do not provide any transport facility. You can look here for possible transport modes.

How do I get there?

What time is Check-in and Check-out?
You can arrive at any time, register and leave your bags in our luggage room. Access to your room is from 2pm and Check-out is 10am.

What time is Breakfast available?
Breakfast is available in the breakfast room located on the 4th floor from 7.30am.

Do you sell beds or rooms?
Good question... Being a hostel, we sell Beds. The only "rooms" we sell are Private Rooms (Twins, Doubles, or Private Single rooms). For example, you have a reservation for 4 people in a 4 Bed Dorm, it may be possible that you're group is split up. We will do our best to keep reservations of more then one person in the same room, but this can not be guaranteed.

Can I bring my sleeping bag?
You can but you might not need to use it. You're bed comes complete with fresh clean linen sheets, blankets pillows and pillow cases - all FREE.

Can I smoke?
No. Piccadilly Backpackers Accommodation in London is 100% NON-SMOKING. This means that if you need to smoke, you'll have to do it outside the hostel.

Do you have cooking facilities?
We have a microwaves available 24hrs in the Breakfast Room. We also know where the nearest and cheapest super-market is - please ask a Team Member for more details.

Is your accommodation "Safe and Secure"?
24hrs Security Team and 24hrs CCTV. We have CCTV cameras inside and outside the building, 24 hour security personal, and security doors. The only people allowed into the Piccadilly Backpackers are people that have current Reservations. Our Reception is open 24hrs for any problems that may arise during the night!

Where can I leave my things?
Every room has lockers for your personal belongings. Bring your own padlock, or you can buy one from reception, if you really want to lock up your valuables. On checkout you'll be able to leave your bags at the hostel for a small fee, you can keep a large bag in our secure luggage room up until 10pm.

Are the dorms / showers mixed or single sex?
All of our dorms are mixed sex (male and female), except for our female only dorms. If you would like to be in a single sex room, we will do our best to see that there are only people of the same sex in your room, but cannot guarantee it. All showers and toilets are single sex. Either male only or female only. All the facilities are cleaned regularly and are open 24 hours!

Is there a minimum or maximum age restriction?
We welcome all travellers over the age of 16 in our shared dorms and quads, however - English Law requires a letter from a guarantor for persons between the ages 16 to 18 (this is an adult who can be responsible for you). Adults with children under the age of 16 must book a private room.

Why do you need the Credit Card Security number when I make my booking?
CVV2 (also called the "Security Number") is a security measure we require for all transactions. This is to help prevent fradulent use of peoples Credit Cards. The customer verification number is a non-embossed number located on your card that cannot be obtained easily by using an imprint of your card or simply copying down the account number.

For your safety, this security number is required to verify your accommodation booking.

• How to find your CVV2 number for Visa & MasterCard:
  On a Visa or MasterCard, please turn your card over and look in the signature strip. You will find (either the entire 16-digit string of your card number, OR just the last 4 digits), followed by a space, followed by a 3-digit number. That 3-digit number is your CVV2 number. This is a non-embossed number printed on the signature panel on the back, immediately following the account number.
  
  If you are using a Visa or Mastercard, please provide the 3-digit verification number found on the back of your card.

• How to find your CVV2 number for American Express:
  American Express cards show the CVV2 Number printed above and to the right of the imprinted card number on the front of the card.
  
  If you are using an American Express card, please provide the 4-digit verification number found on the front of your card. This is the non-embossed.

How can I communicate with people?
We have Payphones & CreditCard phones on every floor, high speed Internet access, and fax facilities from Reception. Payphones accept cash only, and fax charges are dependant on the country you are dialing.

I am arriving late. Is this a problem?
Not a problem at all! Our reception is open 24-hours a day. Of course if you would like to remind us that your still coming, our reception and reservations team would love to say hello and mark you down as definitely "arriving" on our lists.

How can I contact a guest at the hostel?
Piccadilly Backpackers has 700 Beds - and if you do the maths, thats a lot of people! We don't have telephones in the rooms, however you're welcome to leave a message with reception and we'll post a notice on the message board or amend it to the guest's reservation details.

Can I 'walk-in' without a booking?
Yes. We try our best to find a bed for everyone that walks through our doors, but we highly reccommend that you make a reservation in advance, especially for Friday and Saturday nights.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa and Master Card for online and telephone bookings. Visa, Master Card, Switch, Solo, travellers Cheques and Cash are payment methods that we accecpt at Reception.

What if I don't have a credit card?
We can make a provisional booking for you but we can only hold the booking until 6pm on the day of arrival, provided that you are due to arrive on the same day.

What's your cancellation policy?
You must cancel 24 hours before the 2pm Check-in time to obtain a full refund. If you cancel after this time, we will charge the first night and refund the remainder of your booking.
